Thank you for your interest in the Youth Substance Use Services Survey. The online survey is now closed.
Having easily accessible substance use treatment services is critical for youth, their families and all members of the community. However, many may experience significant challenges in getting the treatment they need. A plan for substance use treatment services for youth in the Simcoe County and Muskoka regions is needed. Whether you or someone you know is currently experiencing the problematic use of alcohol, illicit drugs or legal drugs, we need to hear from you. This is an issue that affect all residents of the Simcoe County and Muskoka regions.
The Youth Substance Use Services Survey is voluntary and confidential and asks questions that will help us better understand if youth and their families:
If you are older than 25 years of age and do not have a child under the age of 26, we still want to hear from you. We will ask you to tell us what treatment services you think should be available to youth and their families in your area. The treatment services plan we develop should be something all residents support.
The survey will be available starting in early February and continuing until the first week of March.
If you live in the Simcoe County or Muskoka regions, this study is for you. It is open to anyone who is 16 years of age or older, whether you use substances or not. You have the chance to help local youth who are experiencing the problematic use of alcohol, illicit drugs or legal drugs.
The goal is to understand what treatment services are needed and where so that youth and their families can easily access the help they need in Simcoe county and the Muskoka regions.
It is important that we gather information from residents from all walks of life regardless of whether they experience, or know someone who experiences, problematic substance use.
You can participate by simply clicking on the Start Survey button in the Home page. When you click the button, you can complete the survey right away. If you do not have time to finish the survey, you will see a code appear on your screen just before you exit the survey. Write it down and use it to re-enter the survey when you are ready to finish.

Your survey answers will be kept private and confidential. They will be combined with the answers of other study participants during analysis.
All information you provide will be protected under Ontario's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. If after completing the survey you wish to withdraw your consent to analyse your survey data, please contact us at enquiries@malatest.com.
